PGW Defence has been around for quite a while producing guns for precision enthusiasts and military contracts. Their newest rifle the M15 XRS really piqued our interest when we saw it announced on Instagram. I mean we did just finish building an entirely Canadian rifle for another site so whats another one for the safe?
The M15 XRS as the name might imply if you follow MDT (a Canadian company) is a PGW Defence M15 action slotted in MDT’s new hybrid stock. The MDT XRS combines an aluminum chassis with polymer skins on the outside. This gives it the benefits of a chassis while still fitting the shape the purists are more familiar with. We got the chance to check out the XRS at SHOT this year and had already planned on getting one for a build. The rifle also includes one of their Elite Muzzle Brakes and a magazine.
The rifle sports a TriggerTech Primary Remington 700 Trigger capable of adjusting from 1.5-4lbs. If you didn’t already guess TriggerTech is also Canadian. We are starting to notice a pattern here.
The M15 barreled action has a fluted bolt, 25 MOA rail, and even comes with a 3/4 MOA guarantee at 100 yards. To prove this they even include a 5 round test target. All of this for a base price of $2995.00 Canadian for a fully Canadian built rifle is one hell of a deal. The best part is the price supposedly allows it to fall in PRS production class rules although we imagine this might change depending on how exchange rates work. Check out their website for more information or to order.
