After the successful launch of Grey Birch Solutions 10/22 receivers and barrels, they have now come out with a stripped-down chassis for it pushing them ever closer to a complete rifle. The Foundation Chassis is a modular chassis that takes advantage of commonly available AR-15 pistol grips.
The rear end of the chassis uses a Picatinny rail which is starting to become the standard after the MCX debuted it to the market. This means no need for a bulky buffer tube that you don’t need and you can use some minimalistic stock options.
The chassis can be used without an attached forend and even has a little Picatinny rail for attaching vertical grips or accessories. The same rail is how the forend attaches to the SF version of the Foundation Chassis. The forend on the SF version has an ARCA rail along with M-LOK slots. Not only does the SF version have the added forend but the SF stands for Side Folding.
Currently, they only have them up as a preorder with 3d Renderings but we have seen the 3D printed samples and should be getting a sample to check out on these once they have production models.
